Happy Tuesday! Today's a good day- you know why? Because it's not yesterday. Yesterday sucked. I had to leave Handsome and come back to Arizona. Those damn goodbyes really never get easier. Sunday night we agreed we were going to "rip the bandaid off" at the airport and try not to prolong our goodbye. Usually we sit in the airport crying like little girls for like 45 minutes, which usually makes it harder. We tried not to do that this time, but that didn't work.
Anyway, Today I'm linking up with Amanda and Danae for this awesome link up. You know I love any link up where I get to talk about my man...especially if it's making fun of him ;)
Shit my boyfriend says...

Shit my boyfriend says...
While we were skyping one day...
"You know, I learned something about myself today. I like to eat my cereal in a really big bowl with a really small spoon."
While laughing at something funny I said (note: everything I say is funny)
"Hahahha you slay me"
Ok..what? Is this a thing? I've heard "you kill me" or whatever when somethings funny..but slay? He says its a thing. But I've never heard it. It makes him sound like he's hunting dragons
Okay so I suck and I couldn't think of anything else but I promise I'll start writing this stuff down. I'm heading back to Tucson today and start school this week (boo.) What're you up to?
OH and Sparkle Out Loud got a makeover because I'm indecisive so check it!

Bahahaha !! I don't know but I would like try eating cereal in a big bowl with a small spoon!
ReplyDeleteYou'd think sooner or later we'd all get used to goodbyes but they just never get any easier. :( Thank god for technology!!! I love that he says 'you slay me' it sounds so medieval and chivalrous! PS--I love the new makeover for Sparkle Out Loud.
ReplyDeleteUgh goodbyes are never fun I more than understand! I am going to have to start writing things down as well for the next link up!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't remember anything to link up either but am going to start tracking too. And while you slay me is a thing, it isn't normally something you'd hear :)
ReplyDeleteSlay is definitely a thing! I say it all the time. I always thought it was a Southern thing though!
ReplyDeleteSo, you already know how I feel about goodbyes. YUCK. BUT Haha I LOVE this! So funny. I feel the same way about a big cereal bowl and a small spoon ;)
ReplyDeleteI would totally do the opposite, small bowl big spoon! Never heard slay me before! Haha!
ReplyDelete"It makes him sound like he's hunting dragons" Bahahahah! I've never heard that either! I once had a guy say to me "that's rich" when I made him laugh. Are you an 80 year old grandma?!
ReplyDeleteGoodbyes are the worst. I always cry like a baby in the airport... and usually I'm just saying goodbye to my mom!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I love this! I'm definitely going to keep track of some of the things my husband says because I'm often like "WHAT did you just say?!" I've never heard the "you slay me" but maybe he's trying to start that all on his own haha
ReplyDeleteI love your blog because we are in the same boat as far as long distance relationships. I feel like I can relate to you in so many ways when it comes to distance. And now I can relate to funny things guys say because My Guy always uses terms that I have no idea what they mean. I always have to ask him to describe what he is saying haha. And goodbyes are always so hard! We are at the point when saying the initial goodbye is ok but then a few days later it really hits us that we are "alone" again.
ReplyDeleteYou slay me...LOLOL! I'm gonna have to use that!! Too funny!!!
ReplyDeletehahahahaha. I have heard the "you Slay me" thing.. but I think it's like a British thing or something. I say that because when I think about it, I automatically hear it in an accent so that must be the only way I've heard it actually spoken lol

Slay me? Well whatever it means this post slayed me, so funny! I had the hardest time remember all the stupid crap Josh says on the daily!

I love the cereal part, that's so weird!
ReplyDeleteHahaha slay me. I've heard it before, but it kills me every single time ;) men.
ReplyDeleteYou know, now that I think about it I tend to eat cereal out of a big bowl with a small spoon. Strange! I don't like using big spoons.
ReplyDeleteYou slay me is totally a thing :)
ReplyDeleteI can't eat cereal with a big spoon. It has to be a small spoon. One of my many weird quirks.... :-)
