We also got to shoot some guns. That one right there was so loud that Handsome's ears were still ringing later that night. Great.
Alright so here's the first hill we tried to climb. We get all the way to the top, and it was scary as shit. We couldn't see in front of us so we didn't really know what the top of the hill looked like and where to drive. I thought we were going to die.
But we made it!
His truck just looks like its going to fall over.
Now, getting off of this hill was intense. I'm pretty sure we almost tipped over. I had my eyes closed and I was just saying "we're gonna die" over and over haha. But Handsome got us turned around so we could drive down that hill.
Now here's the fun part.
Halfway down the hill and I start to hear air.. coming from his tire.
His two day old tire was popped. Two days. So we spent the next half hour changing it.
Well, he spent the next half hour changing it. :)
He was so bummed. I felt awful. But luckily the tire place helped us out (even though they were closed) and hooked my handsome man up with a new tire!
Finally we were home, and then it was date night!
We went to dinner and walked around this cute little outside mall. It was so nice outside too! I was even a little cold. That's not supposed to happen in September in Arizona. I loved it!
So, that was my Saturday!
What was the highlight of your weekend?
Oh, and PS- he even walks my dogs for me, and he looks damn sexy while he's doing it! I think he's a keeper.
I don't think Arizona is ugly!
ReplyDeleteSure, it doesn't have a lot of color, but it has a nice neutral palette.
Plus, you have the Grand Canyon, one of the most beautiful things ever.

How fun! Sounds like you guys had the perfect day, minus the flat tire.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been out wheeling in so long! We are waiting for it to get a little muddier out so we can get the truck dirty.
Hey now, not ALL of arizona is ugly. ;)
ReplyDeleteY'all are too cute together!!!
You guys are so stinkin' cute! I have to say...at least there is SOME scenery up there in the Phoenix area! Sierra Vista is just hell. Pure hell. I'm not looking forward to being there until next summer haha Ryan is PCSing in July, so hopefully it won't be so bad with an end in sight?!
ReplyDeleteBut seriously...that looks like fun!
You guys had an eventful weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the country music references! My hubby and I thought for a bit we were going to have to relocate to Arizona, but we found out this past Friday that we'll be staying in Louisiana.
Then, I guess, you guys were lucky that day, and that it was really meant to be a fun experience for you both. I commend the tire place, too, for lending their service even beyond shop hours. On that note, don’t you think it would be for the welfare of everyone if tire shops are open 24 hours? You can never predict when and where your tires are going to blow out, after all.
ReplyDeleteI agree. There is no better way to celebrate having a new truck and new tires than a road trip. And with the smiles on both of your faces, there’s no doubt that you had a blast! It just a little disappointing that you had a flat tire just after two days it got installed. But I guess that's part of being on the road. What matters is that you both had a great weekend. And I hope you had more of those to come! Cheers!
