like clockwork

I love Easton Corbin. He just released a new single and I'm so excited about it. Keeping it short and sweet today, this week I'm listening to Clockwork by Easton Corbin.

Here are the lyrics:
Might as well have my alarm set on my phone girl
It's like you got a camera, don't know how you know, I’m home alone girl
Come around 10:47 every Friday night
Might as well leave the light on, cause you're always right on time

Chorus: You call, I say hello You knock, I'm lettin' you in
You say, you've missed My lips, we kiss Here we go again
Your dress, my shirt We love, I live and never learn
I crash, I burn You leave, I hurt Like clockwork

It's like I’m walkin' down the street and fall in that same trap girl
I see a freight train comin' I just stand there on the tracks girl
Somebody'd be gettin' rich if they were placin' bets
On me thinkin' no, no, no, always sayin' yes

You call, I say hello You knock, I'm lettin' you in
You say, you've missed My lips, we kiss Here we go again
Your dress, my shirt We love, I live and never learn
I crash, I burn You leave, I hurt Like clockwork

It's too easy, you know my street
And you know where I leave my key
Baby you know me, I can count on you, to count on me
It's like a movie I’ve seen a thousand times
I hate the end But I still hit rewind

You call, I say hello You knock, I'm lettin' you in
You say, you've missed My lips, we kiss Here we go again
Your dress, my shirt We love, I live and never learn
I crash, I burn You leave, I hurt Like clockwork

Like clockwork Like clockwork

i was born with a song inside of me

Hi loves! Happy Wednesday. Gosh, time is flying by isn't it? I'm so busy this week again with work and school. So today I'm keeping it short and sweet!

First, I want to introduce you to a lovely lady. Ashley blogs over at From Ashley to Awesome. She blogs about anything and everything, and her little girl is the cutest! She even has an etsy shop so be sure to check that out!
From Ashley to Awesome

Hey Ashley! Tell us about yourself.

Hey All, I'm Ashley and I blog over at 'From Ashley to Awesome'. I'm a wife to an amazing acupuncturist named Mark, mother to a smart and beautiful almost 5 year old girl named Amelia, a crafting addict, photographer wanna be and I do daycare out of my home. I love spending time with my family. We keep very busy here in Oregon and always try to add a little awesome to each day.

Why do you love blogging?
I have loved to write since I was a little girl.
Growing up I always exceeded my grade level in writing and I took upper level writing courses for fun in college. I started my blog as a way to keep my family and close friends up to date on what we are up to. I never thought my blog would be much more than that. I fell in love with blogging immediately, everything about it. The blogging community is full of amazing people and I love following along and getting to know new bloggers. My blog is a little slice of me and I'm glad that I get to share it with others.

What does a typical day look like for you?
A typical day for me... are you ready for this. I wake up around 6am, shower and get my house picked up. Around 7:30 the little kids I watch start to arrive (anywhere between 1 and 4 kids, 2 years and under). I make breakfast, give the babies their bottles, have play time, change diapers and then it's time for a morning nap. During nap time I either clean my house and try to blog, but if my daughter Amelia is awake then we snuggle and read books, watch a movie, do a craft project, work on some preschool type work or just sit around and laugh. After nap time it's back at it with having a snack, changing diapers, playing, walking to the park if it's nice, changing diapers, making lunch, giving bottles, play time and then afternoon naps. During afternoon naps I almost always try to work on my blog. My husband gets home between 1-2 so we eat lunch and catch up on the day. Amelia usually watches a show or plays quietly during this time. After the littles wake up I change diapers, fix a snack and we have play time. Moms arrive anywhere between 5:30 and 6. Once the kids have all walked out the door I usually sit down for a second and check FB. Then I get started on my homework (I'm taking a photography class through the college). I try to sew or make jewelry a few times a week for my Etsy shops. Thankfully my husband usually makes dinner for us so I have time to do this stuff. Then I get the house picked up and do a little blog stuff. Amelia starts getting ready for bed and I tuck her in. She likes to read books in bed or have me sing songs to her. I usually lay my head down around midnight (or later) these days. And then it's back at it the next day.

This week, I'm listening to Day that I Die by Zac Brown Band

Here are the lyrics:
Early morning in a motel room,
Sunshine trying to creep on through.
Lost Sleep but I found a tune,
Stuck inside my head.
Cigarettes and tank of gas,
Headed off to nowhere fast,
Gotta find a way to make this feeling last.

Cause I believe that I,
Was born with a song inside of me.
Never question why,
I just kept on chasing that melody.
And as time goes by,
It's funny how time can make you realize,
We're running out of it.

On the day that I die,
I wanna say that I,
Was a man who really lived and never compromised.
And when I've lived out my days,
Until the very end,
I hope they find me in my home, a guitar in my hands.
I hope they find me in my home with my guitar in my hands.

Whoa, oh.
Whoa, oh.

A part of dawn to be ashamed of,
But good people are supposed to be up.
But I found peace with the path I took,
As I lay down my head.
Crossroads you gotta choose,
Which way do we win or lose.
But every bone in my soul says I sing on through.

Cause I believe that I,
Was born with a song inside of me.
Never question why,
I just keep on singing these melodies.
And as time goes by,
Its funny how time can make you realize,
We're running out of it.

On the day that I die,
I wanna say that I,
Was a man who really lived and never compromised.
And when I've lived out my days,
Until the very end,
I hope they find me in my home, a guitar in my hands.
I hope they find me in my home with my guitar in my hands.

Whoa, oh.
Whoa, oh.
Whoa, oh.
Whoa, oh.

We all go, we all go,
It's all over 'fore you know.

I believe that I
Was born with a song inside of me.
Never question why,
I just keep on singing these melodies,
And as time goes by,
Its funny how time can make you realize,
We're running out of it.

On the day that I die,
I wanna say that I,
Was a man who really loved and never compromised.
And while I live out my days,
Until the very end,
You can find me in my home, a guitar in my hands,
And you can find me in my home with my guitar in my hands.

bottoms up

Happy Wednesday pretties! I'm swamped with designs and homework today. But at least I have good music, you know?
I mentioned here that I'm on a Brantley Gilbert kick, so I'm sure you can guess who today's song is by. While I'm busy studying accounting this week, I'll be listening to Bottoms Up by Brantley Gilbert.

Here are the lyrics!
I see you and me riding like Bonnie and Clyde
Goin 95 burning down 129 yeah
Looking for the law, while push my luck
Shes ridin shot gun like it ain't no thing
Turn the radio up so the girl can sing right
Pull into the party like "y'all wassup"
Tonight is bottoms up up
Throw it on down
Rock this quiet, little country town
Get up, drop a tailgate on ya truck
Find a keg and fill ya cup up
Kick it on back
Pretty little mama lookin at ya like that
Make ya wanna slide on in like "Girl, what’s up"
Yeah tonight is bottoms up up up
Get em up up
Tonight is bottoms up up up
Get em up up up
Damn girl I gotta tip my hat
Never thought a country song would make you move like that yeah
And she's doing it in daisy dukes
Girl she's got ya tappin on a boys shoulder
Hey dog check this out
And that's how girl do it in the dirty south yeah
She'll have you on your knee "can I marry you?"

Yeah tonight is bottoms up
Throw it on down
Rock this quiet, little country town
Get up, drop a tailgate on ya truck
Find a keg and fill ya cup up
Kick it on back
Pretty little mama lookin at ya like that
Make ya wanna slide on in like "Girl, what’s up"
Yeah tonight is bottoms up up up
Get em up up up
Tonight is bottoms up up up
Get em up get em up get em up

Get em up

Hey y'all whatever ya sippin get it up in the air
Bottoms up

Let’s give a toast to the good times
All y’all get your drinks up high
Everybody feelin alright
Damn right
Cause tonight it’s bottoms up
Throw it on down
Rock this quiet, little country town
Get up, drop a tailgate on ya truck
Find a keg and fill ya cup up
Kick it on back
Pretty little mama lookin at ya like that
Make ya wanna slide on in like "Girl, what’s up"

Tonight is bottoms up up
Throw it on down
Rock this quiet, little country town
Get up, drop a tailgate on ya truck
Find a keg and fill ya cup up
Kick it on back
Pretty little mama lookin at ya like that
Make ya wanna slide on in like "Girl, what’s up"
Yeah tonight is bottoms up up up
Get em up
Tonight is bottoms up up up
Get em up

a rainy night in georgia

Happy hump day loves! I'm enjoying my last day before classes start. It's hot Arizona right now…ugh. Take me back to Montana. Anyway, I'm sharing another Chris Young song today. This one's a little older and it's slow, but I can't stop listening to it! It's also not Chris Young's originally, but I love it. Enjoy!
Rainy Night in Georgia by Chris Young

And here's the lyrics:
Hoverin' by my suitcase
Tryin' to find a warm place to spend the night
A heavy rain is fallin'
Seems I hear your voice callin', "It's all right"

Rainy night in Georgia
Rainy night in Georgia
I believe it's rainin' all over the world
I believe it's rainin' all over the world

Neon signs flashin'
Taxi cabs and buses passin' through the night
The distant moanin' of a train
Seems to play a sad refrain to the night

Rainy night in Georgia
Rainy night in Georgia
I believe it's rainin' all over the world
Seems like it's rainin' all over the world

How many times I've wondered
And it still comes out the same
No matter how you look at it or think of it
It's life, and you just gotta play the game

I find me a place in a box car
So I take out this old guitar to pass some time
Late at night when it's hard to rest
I hold your picture to my chest and I'm alright

Rainy night in Georgia
Rainy night in Georgia
I believe it's rainin' all over the world
Yeah, I believe it's rainin' all over the world
I believe it's rainin' all over the world, and it's rainin' on me
