six signs you're addicted to technology

Hi, my name is Brianna and I'm addicted to technology. I constantly have my phone and I can't go a day without checking my social media accounts. I'd like to blame that on blogging, but really I've always been that way. At this point, I think its safe to say I'm addicted.
+you always have your phone on you, and you freak out when you can't find it
Sometimes I do this while it's in my hand because I'm an idiot. I don't go anywhere without my phone. Unless I'm with Dj. But other than that, I take it with me. I always think that if I don't bring it, I'll miss a super important phone call or something (you know, because I get so many of those).

+the battery dying on your phone is literally the end of the world
…and you'll do anything to get to a charger. I'm so guilty of this. Especially if I'm out somewhere and I'm texting Dj. I start to get anxious and nervous as soon as my battery gets down to like 20%. I even offer to drive whenever I go somewhere with my roommates just because I have a charger in my car.

+your friends show you funny things on the internet, but you've already seen them all
Like these:
I tried to find the least offensive rape sloth meme, but they're all too good…sorry

+you never go to the library for homework
...or at least you never use books. We had a paper due in Spanish the other day that we needed a little bit of research before. When we got to class, the girl next to me pulled out six books that she found in the library for the paper, and all I could think to say was, "Have you never heard of Google?" Oops.

+you go to check Twitter/Facebook/etc but there's nothing new on your newsfeed
Especially on Twitter, if you're checking it so often that there are no new tweets, you might have a problem. Whenever I go on the wedding section of Pinterest, 90% of the pins are things I've already seen…oops.

+you have every piece of technology imaginable
I have a DSLR camera, a computer, iPhone, iPad, and an iPod so basically I'm keeping Apple in business. They're also all pink so maybe I just have an obsessive personality.

Are you addicted?

  1. I am definitely addicted, I know its an issue when I am constantly going over my data package on my phone plan!

  2. I am addicted to technology!! It's horrible!! I have done allthese things!

  3. Oh Im addicted too. My phone died at Disneyland last week... So sad.

  4. yep, you covered all of the bases. I am definitely addicted to technology, i cannot imagine my life without it....pathetic i know

  5. Yep, I'm addicted! It's one of those "Sorry, I'm not sorry" situations though.

  6. The only place I go without my phone is the gym and that's because that's my time to charge it in the morning! Other than that, you could say I'm addicted.

HOWEVER. I do believe that technology addiction is somewhat necessary now.

  7. The whole twitter thing happens to me way too often and it honestly makes me really sad. I mean, what do you mean no one is tweeting at 2am?? What is wrong with people...

  8. Hahahaah! Hit the nail on the head. I consider myself officially diagnosed now!

  9. The only one I'm ever guilty of is the second to last, so I think it's safe to say that I am NOT addicted to technology! Phew! :) I definitely have some people in mind who could relate to everything on this list, though!

  10. HAHA... When I first read, "you never go to the library for homework".. I was like, who goes to the library for research. When I was in college and then grad school, I just used the internet haahaha

"your friends show you funny things on the internet, but you've already seen them all" YES

  11. I guess I'm a bit addicted, but it could be worse! I'm definitely guilty of freaking out without my phone on me. In fairness, I don't wear a watch, so it's also my clock. :)

  12. This is so me!! And I try super duper hard to distance myself from my phone at least but its sooo hard lol

  13. I adore you blog very much & I would love it if you checked out my blog :D

  14. I can definitely relate to a few of these, but I don't think that I am too bad.. yet.
